2018 Welcome Letter

Sponsorship

Welcome to the Family of Dressage4Kids, Inc. Sponsors!

This year marks our twentieth anniversary of Lendon’s Youth Dressage Festival!  We will return to the HITS on the Hudson show grounds in Saugerties, New York from July 13 through 15, 2018.  We anticipate welcoming 250 riders from all over the United States as they compete in dressage classes from walk-trot Introductory through the FEI levels as well as competing in equitation classes, Musical Freestyle, Prix Caprilli, Trail classes, and the USDF Region 8 Team Competition. We attract all youth riders: dressage, eventers, Pony Clubbers, etc. They will bring with them parents, siblings, trainers, and friends, and will attract spectators – numbering close to 800 in all on the show grounds.

Monetary contributions to Dressage4Kids, Inc. from our sponsors fund our educational programs, training and scholarship awards, and therefore strengthen the foundation of dressage in America. With your product donations we award prizes to these highly motivated and dedicated young riders and provide a showcase for your many products and services that support our sport. In return, we promote our sponsors in numerous, creative yet cost-efficient ways.  Click on the link entitled “2018 Youth Dressage Festival Sponsorship Categories”.  It details the benefits that accrue with each level of giving.

Thanks to the collective efforts of our sponsors, Dressage4Kids, Inc. is responsible for many events throughout the year. Our unique event is our show, Lendon’s Youth Dressage Festival in Saugerties, NY, and we now have similar programs in Michigan and Atlanta. Our Weekend Equestrian Program accommodates youth and adults surviving the winter in the northeast. Our D4K TEAM Program (Training, Education and Mentoring) has replaced our EDAP program, as the program has grown exponentially. I conducted 26 of the programs last year and I and others will be doing even more in 2018.The Courtney King-Dye Horsemastership Clinic is a highlight at the end of the summer, featuring Courtney and other well-known professionals. The Winter Intensive Program (WIT) is nationally noted and we are just finishing up our sixth year of this three-month program held in Wellington, Florida. In addition, the Lendon Gray Scholarship Funds which we award throughout the year help youth and aspiring young professional riders defray the costs of training and professional development programs.

Almost every Pony rider in the US National Championships has participated in our programs and a very high percentage of Junior and Young Riders at the US Championships are participants in our numerous programs.  Laura Graves, bronze medalist at the 2016 Olympics, got her boost into dressage when she participated in Lendon’s Youth Dressage Festival as a young rider.

If you’d like to join our ever-extending family of Sponsors, click on the link entitled “2018 Sponsorship Contract”, download the form, fill it out and return it to us at your earliest convenience.

On behalf of the numerous youth dressage riders who have enjoyed our events over the many years, and the hundreds who will this year, I thank you for joining us in our efforts to bring them quality programs. It is wonderful to know that benefits from Dressage4Kids go on throughout the year, supported by people like you.

Sincerely,

Lendon Gray
